Russella,
I haven't given you an update on
Calvin. He has been absolutely the perfect dog! We just love
him and take him everywhere we go. He's even been to Disney
World! thanks so much!

Hi
Russella,
Russella, thanks for the tip - McCain remains the love
of our life - best dog we have ever had and being married 51 years,
that's a lot of dogs. He still hits puppy mode every now and then and is
adorable when he does. Hope you're having good luck with your dogs. I
know you're showing them.

Hi
Russella,
Just a note to tell you how well Sherry is doing. She has turned into a
little sailor girl and enjoys outings on my friend's pontoon boat. When
the tide is low sometimes we pull up to a small sandbar and she gets out
and runs around.
Best regards,
Sharon and Sherry

Russella,
Thank you so much for letting Jamie and I visit. It was truly our
pleasure. We would love to do it again, even before taking one with us,
if you end up having the time.
I can't express how much of a relief it is to know that such a nice
breeder (and person) is out there that clearly cares as much for animals
as we do. We were so distraught after Tyco, and felt that we wouldn't be
able to get another Basenji, for it seems all you can find are puppy
mills online, and even if they weren't, it seemed impossible to tell the
difference. You are a clear cut above the rest, and we look forward to
seeing you and your puppies again.
Please do keep us updated on Colt, he is such a wonderful dog. We will
definitely do the same.
Thank you so much,
Ian

Hi Russella,
Yes,
Summer
is sleeping in my sofa chair now and I'm on the floor, rightfully so!
When I go away for work I take her picture with me (she's also in our
Christmas cards every year). When I return she greets me and I look into
her eyes, it's sickening to my wife as she is second on the list to be
greeted AFTER Summer!! I LOVE HER!! I often call her "Mama's" ... just
my term of endearment for her! When she goes to the Vet here in the
Winter and it's cold I bundle her in a blanket and carry her. We did get
her papers, thank you. She is complete OPPOSITE of Carter the Basenji,
Summer is everyone's favorite so I try and pay extra attention to
Carter. Summer did have a hernia when I got her so we got it fixed. She
had a physical and shots last week and will get her teeth cleaned next
month. She went to the Groomers once and they loved her. She eats the
best food that I get at the Vet, she gets heartguard and topspot every
month. It's funny ... I had someone tell me that they were going to take
her home across the nation (they were kidding) ... told them not to try
as I would have their airplane turned around!! (I work Air Defence with
fighter jets). Yes, everyone knows she is a queen or a princess in the
house, love her!!!! I will tell the kids to take some pics, may take a
bit so remind me (feel free also to use my FB pictures also). I also had
her portrait done and that sits in our room. I would love to have you
come visit this summer to see Summer and us if you can. We heard that
Summer went to a Convention in Warwick, RI for Basenjis right before we
got her, did you in fact bring her? If so she was there not far from us
and little did we know that we would have her soon after. THANK YOU so
much for being a good person!!! Summer could be the poster child (that's
what I call her ... my child) for exceptional care. Have a great day and
I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Russella,
I got Undercover Amnesty aka Vesta from you when you were down in Florida. I think I heard that you
are not down here anymore.
My baby “Vesta”
(goddess of the hearth) was born 12/18/1997 & is now 13 years old. She’s just adorable still,
lean & has a great coat! But I think it might be time for her to get a little
sister.
Glad to see you're still
breeding beautiful Basenjis!!!!!!

Russella
and Aaron,
Thank you so much for your kindness, I was very touched as you could
see. That was so nice of you! We love Gunner already. He is such a good
boy. He has so much to explore here so he is not lacking in stimulation.
The kids are overjoyed by all the things he does and have had lots of
laughs since he arrived. We are thoroughly enjoying every minute and
know we have lots of things to do before Kya gets here. We can't wait.
Again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Eric has been shooting
video so when he gets a minute? he'll send that your way also. Steph
said she was hanging out with Trey tonight after work but they will
probably end up at our house so Trey can see Gunner. Oh what fun......:)

Thank you for such a wonderful loving
Basenji! What
a
joy.
Izzy is so intelligent, he opens the door
and lets himself out. Zeda wants out also but she's afraid the door will
hit her and can't open it herself as he does. Izzy is such a joy and
the most wonderful companion, he follows me everywhere I go.
Izzy is doing excellent these days. We knew
that Basenji's could be a handful, having had one before, and it seems like
it takes a little longer for them "to grow up" but it's worth it in the
long run. He's so faithful and loyal . Can you believe he will be 3 in
a couple weeks? I still brush his little pearly white teeth. I'm so
glad I started that when he was young and kept it up. You never have to
worry about him. He is loved deeply. Hope all is well these days with
your showing.

Russella,
Just wanted to send you Corky's first birthday picture. She just got a
new toy (Woodstock) that she can't wait to tear up. We love Corky very
much and are glad that she joined our family.

Beyonce
is doing great. She is playing with Jude right now. We took her to
her first day of dog training and she did very good and she was good
being around other dogs. I think all her showing helped so she was not
focused on the other dogs, but us. I think she will do very well
at this. She has fallen into a routine that revolves around me,
including going to bed and waking up when I do. She and Jude still
play a lot. But they are more settled and do everything as pairs,
including napping next to each other. And she likes to sleep on
top of all the toys in the toy box. Just a little update.
Keep in touch!

Russella,
Corky seems to have adjusted nicely to her new household. She is such a
good dog! We are all in love. I am attaching a couple of new picture.
As you can see, she gets along well with our cats. Have you had a chance
to send her records yet? I am planning on taking her to our vet next week
to get acquainted.

Cain
continues to be the love of our lives and is Bobby's main focus. He
dotes on that dog and the two of them have long conversations, at least
on Bobby's end. The sweetness and loving nature of this dog are amazing.
He is truly our lap dog and greets us with such joy when we come in - he
has to be the best Basenji on earth!
